Hmmm. That begs the question of whether you could use nixie tubes to create a nixie tube clock, if all you need is a difference between striking and maintaining voltage. IN-3s spring to mind, but a 10 state switch would be more ambitious....

Perhaps a suitable topic to get someone started on neonixie?

Ha ha...I have one of these too Ian and I haven't rallied the courage to tackle it yet....going to be a monster build. I may just wait for your take on it before I fire up the iron....best of British!
