Video review number three is online! I'm starting to get the hang of this. Bob C. from the Facebook page shared a short tutorial which was helpful. The big take away for me is that I really need to get a better microphone to help with the sound. I'm also searching for CC licensed music to help spice up the videos...but that might take some time.
Back on topic: this review is for the NixiChron by Jeff Thomas. Several people suggested that I review this clock...so I did!

I don't know if it's an optical illusion or not, but it appears you have some cathode poisoning on the bottom of the "8" in the ten minutes position. Look around the 54 second mark of the video.
Also I'm surprised you don't get good signal lock with the GPS provided. You must live in an area with poor reception. My NixiChron never drops a signal and is on a book shelf in the middle of my home.

Thanks for the feedback, guys! I see the artifact on the 8 in video but I haven't noticed it in person. When I get home, I will take a closer look at it.
Regarding the reception, this is actually the second GPS receiver that I've had. I replaced it once because of reception problems but after using it for a few months, I'm not sure that it fixed the problem. I live in a high density apartment building in Minneapolis so that may be part of the problem. I can't get GPS reception on my cell phone when I'm inside and when I'm outside, it still takes a while to lock on.
