HI Ian
just a quick question i used my old wifi router when i finally got sorted but im thinking of going back to my new router is there anything that i need to do like clear the old address from the clock

What should happen is this: As soon as the clock is restarted, it tries to connect. If it cannot connect it should go back into "Open" Mode and you should be back to the start of the sign up process.
If you want, you can reset the module beforehand ("utilities" page), but it is not really necessary..
Remember that it only waits 60 seconds in Open mode, and fi no one tries to connect, it will just fall back to the RTC.

Interesting that the numitrons are supposed to be soldered directly to the board. I soldered 'socket pins' to mine so the numitrons are removable. I seem to recall, though, that the numitron pins themselves did not fit into the holes in the PCB, though I didn't use much force.

Maybe socket pins would be a good idea, but as long as they are recessed into the board. I have a load of Noval sockets, but I absolutely hate them. They require a lot more force than I feel happy with to insert and remove the tube.

i was thinking of using socket pins but thought that the tubes would sit to
high up so that's why i when for the solder option

well good news went through the set proceeder again and all went well and even managed to update it to v3
