wemos 4 digit clock - Not getting 170v on High voltage

Update
After leaving the clock turned off for a period of time and then restarting, the x10 section tube restarts and will run for about 5 minutes before no longer operating?
The x1 hours and x1 secs tubes are also sometimes only partially displaying the number.
Could this be connection issues between the two boards or power supply issues? Current power pack is 9v dc 1.66amp.

Did you check the 170V tube power? The partial lighting normally is caused by either cathode poisening (which is a long-term process) or too low voltage/current. As tubes always differ in their parameters there will be some tube that fails first. But as all tubes are unevenly lighted right from the beginning my guess is that the 170V power fails...

yes, indeed, it sounds like one of the tubes has outgassed a bit or is poisoned.

Does the tube look bright and clear, and then all of a sudden go off? Or does it get "fuzzy" or blurry and then go out? or does part of the digit not light up.

(Symptom one might indicate a problem on the opto-isolators, symptom 2 indicates that the HV circuit is drooping, symptom 3 would be poisoning,

Does the MOSFET get hot at all?

Yes the mosfet does start to get hotter once the tube drops out
At the 170v test point, the voltage is showing as
148v with a 9v dc 1.66a supply
When I try a12v supply it puts out 148.4v at the test pt and the mosfet still gets hot - probably after 2-3 mins and this is when the tube also drops out.
What’s the password to access wifi connection once an IP address is established?
Hope this will be a simple fix.
