You should get out more. Come visit the western US, or Northern Ontario, or many other places. Point is, there are places in the world, which you're obviously unfamiliar with, where there is no inexpensive (e.g. non-satellite) Internet access. That you don't travel there doesn't mean others don't. Widen your worldview. I use a clock in my camper ("caravan"), and am often camping in remote "off-grid" locations where there is no reliable Internet. I don't want to have to set it by hand every time I set up camp and turn it on. Sorry you can't understand that other people have needs/wants different than yours.
