I have now built the ClassicNixieClock Rev6
Unfortunately, after a short time something starts to oscillate.
The board starts to make a noise, the current consumption increases exponentially and IC1 (LM2596T) gets extremely hot.
What is the best way to limit the problem? Maybe the seller sent a wrong coil.
The wlan module was more nice to know - the 3.3V rail is working and the module is working too.
I have now removed the K155ID1 and noticed that the board goes crazy when i insert the Atmel. The 5V voltage remains constant until my power supply goes into the current limit at 1A. Apparently the Atmel is defective. Over Pin 7 and 8 5V are present. I still have a STK500 board - I will try to reach the Atmel tonight. Edit: I Powered the Atmel with 5V and the consumption was 0,03A - I think there is another problem.
The brown capacitor (C1) has 2.2µF 400V - this should be enough
