Hello!
First of all, thank You for this wonderful project. I have planning to build a nixie clock in the past 3 years and seems this is the project with finally I can finish it. As I had almost every detail at home, I ordered only the PCB v6. But one of the things is missing the LM2596 and not available here in Hungary. Is it possible to replace LM2596 with LM2576 ?
As per schematic and characteric for me seems that it is ok, but I would need to change the followings :
- L2 to 100 uH (instead of 33uH)
- C9 to 1000 uF (instead of 220 uF)
But, I do not fully understand the circuits though...
Could you please advise if I am will be right with these changes?
I have attached the pictures of typical applications of both lm2596 and lm2576 from the datasheets.
Thank you in advance.

Yes, it should work. I don't have any parts to try it, but the pin out is the same and only the internal frequency is different, leading to the need for the change in the inductor and the capacitor.
