Excellent - I'm very glad this problem has been solved! Sorry if I misled you earlier when I said your first replacement inductor was okay. Obviously it was not.
Look into it later when the dust is clearing off the crater.

No problem, I also didn't know the amount of amps that inductor could handle.
But I have learned a lot now. Also now I have learned how to use a scope

So it was a fun project again!

Excellent!! You got it working. I'm glad all your parts are running cool now. Thanks for the follow-up.
You might be able to save that tube by zapping the shorted electrodes with a pulse of current, like a battery or a low voltage power supply that can deliver a couple of amps. It's worth a try before you bin the tube.
