How to Find This Kind of Chiming Clock was created by dinhdai88
Aloha,
I have had the most challenging time trying to locate a gentle, simple, bim bam chaming mantle clock that can be heard on movies such as Pride and Prejudice, Emma, and Wives and Daughters.
The closest I can find was listed on EBay, but the seller pulled it off the auction today Sad However, if you could go to YouTube and listen to the audio of this chime, maybe someone out there could help direct me to finding a clock that has this very sweet, soft bell-like chime.
About half way thru the link below, the minute hand is moved so you can hear the bell chime ---

I put the question out on a clock repairman's list and got the following answer
"Check Neuchatel clock or Neuchateloise. Swiss firm Le Castell for example is still producing these clocks, JLC stopped few years ago"
