I still have 2 LEDs from your kit and some resistors (1k, 3k) which should be mounted on display board - as I haven't assemble it yet. Will it be enough to assemble your "tester"?

Should be okay. Ideally you'd want to use 1K and 10K but 1K and 3K will do. If you don;t have a switch just touch wires together or something B)

If the MOSFET is good, switch on -> LED on, switch off -> LED off.

Note that the short lead of the LED goes toward the MOSFET.

Look into it later when the dust is clearing off the crater.

Added polarity indication on power input. Converted to black and white for legibility.

I did some prototype as you shown on the sketch.
Pushing switch (touching wires together in my option) doesn't change anything :-(

but when I touch Q2 (metal part) by my hand LED lights, when release my hand LED turn off

Hmmm... that's a weird result... are you absolutely sure you have the test circuit wired up correctly? I just tried it with a good MOSFET and touching the tab does nothing. The tab is connected to Drain (same as Pin 2) so I can't see why touching it should do anything.

I'm thinking the MOSFET is bad but given that weird test result I'm not totally confident. I've emailed Ian, who designed that circuit, asking him to come look at this thread. Let's see what he has to say.

Unless you just happen to have an extra IRF640, in which case you should put it in the board and see what happens!

Please see photo attached how it looks.
