We have obtained a number of Beckman SP-353 3-digit Panaplex displays, brand new in their foam trays. The SP-353 has proper digit spacing for constructing larger displays, and two of these will make a very nice 6-digit clock. This is also the first time we've actually laid hands on a NOS SP-353 - we usually find them as socket pulls. We are selling these displays for $15 each, which is less than 1/3 the price that other suppliers sell them for.

Nice find indeed, and if the pics are any indication you've got a lot of them...

We only have one tray's worth for sale in the store - 50 pieces. The remainder are destined for other things.

I remember seeing / reading about a "trio" of Heathkits with matching cases and matching Panaplex displays. One member of the trio is the clock you linked to. Another is a digital thermometer. Right now my brain is farting and I can't remember what the third unit in the set does.

I just ordered 4 of these displays from Accutron's shop, so maybe before too long I'll have pictures of a new Panaplex clock to post. I'm not gonna promise when that might happen though! I have more ideas than free time right now.

Heath also had a wind speed indicator using this technology.

Yep! That's what is was alright - thanks for de-farting my brain.

I went looking further and re-found the site where I saw the "trio". Bottom of the page: scan of a 1975 Heath catalog page.
