Since working on a new design for a 2 tube Nixie Watch, I have also been asked to make a new design for a 4 tube nixie watch. I would like to know which one of these two would be more in demand.

Suppose you could choose between:
1) The two tubed Kopriso nixie watch as in one of the previous threads (50mm dial and 16.5mm thick)
2) A four tubed nixie watch which would be rectangular (approx 58x49x18, or approx 60x42x18, not sure yet which one of the 2 it will be).

Suppose that the performance of the two watches is identical. What would then be your preference?

Best regards,
Michel

If the two watches were identical and had the same battery life, I would probably prefer the smaller of the two. I wear shits with cuffs regularly and so size is a large concern for me.

That was exactly my concern as well, that's why I tried my best to make it as small as possible. For myself, a 4 tube watch is just too big to use as an every day watch.

After thinking this through a bit I'd say I would prefer the 4-tube model. My rationale is that a) I don't really care for digital timepieces - clock or watch - that have less than 4 digits. and b) both watches are IMO too bulky for everyday wearing. So if it's going to be a 'special occasions' watch, I might just as well choose the one with the number of digits I prefer.

Regarding 'bulky' - I'm not criticizing your design, I think you have got it about as small as is possible. It's more that I'm fairly small to begin with and big watches don't look good on my wrist. A Submariner would look silly on me, I'm more a Movado kinda guy...

Thanks Eeberfest. I think your website looks great b.t.w. Left a message there at about 3:40 am I think .

I'll take that into account, I'm afraid I can't squeeze 4 tubes in a silky smooth Movado watch case

I bought them in several smaller batches over a period of months, and did not stop at 16 because I wanted to have some spares. If I average it out it's probably $40 - $45 per tube.

I don't wanna totally hijack Cobra_007's thread, so here's a link to the old thread about my stuff:
