THESE TUBES HAVE BEEN SOLD
[/b][/color]

I have 5 New In Box tubes that I would like to sell. These are some of the smallest nixie tubes ever made - they are quite a bit smaller than my finger nail.

What do you use these for? Well - Jeff Thomas' work in progress wrist watch! www.amug.org/~jthomas/watch2.html

I haven't seen these come up for sale on eBay in a long time so coming up with a price is difficult. Make me an offer over email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)

I didn't see those - $15 is a great price imo.

I am not sure what the difference is - I can't seem to find a lot of info on them. Given the sheer number of leads, I assume that it is a full 0-9 but I didn't count.

My guess is that the only difference are the leads, the B4997 is probably ment for a socket, like ZM1120 and the B4998 is more like IN-17.
You can check some pictures of the B4998 here: (link)

I have built a clock using these. I love them. The mesh is finder on these than the IN-17, and B-4998's have pins instead of leads. 0-9 and anode, the two other pins might have been used in for the giver pill to release mercury vapor inside the tube. The round version of these in the Burroughs sub-miniature family are the 4021,4032, and 7977. The decoder and driver module is the BIP-9801-1 and contain an RTL 4 bit latch and BCD to decimal decoder as well as the anode resistor. Here is a picture of my B-4998 clock in the background with B-5870 nixies in the front:

And head on using NL-4998's (Same tube as B-4998, but I prefer the Burroughs) because the B-4998's never arrived yet.
