4 Digits on 6 Digit board?

Hello. I have Classic v4 board with already soldered components for 6 digit clock. Do I have to unsolder the OK5, OK6, R12, R13, R15 and R16 to work properly with 4 digits (and flashing 4 digits firmware) or it will work ok without unsoldering them?

Thanks!

Are the optos soldered or socketed?

It should work anyway, but it is cleaner to have the opto-isolators removed.

Hmm seems like mine is older classic v4 (4 pin "FRONT" header) Revision 4b. I guess it is not safe to upload 4 digit firmware on it? Sorry to bother you again...
