Nixies work fine, pins correct, wiring ok, weird symptoms

I'm looking at the tube wiring on page 32. I saw the 10 pin header from the nixie tubes and my PCB is wired exactly that way which makes the pinout for the digits:

Pin10 = Digit 1
Pin9 = Digit 2
...
Pin2 = Digit 9
Pin1 = Digit 0

The pinouts from the driver follow perfect order. Honestly, I don't blame the manual as much as myself just pinning it out that way and not reading the pins 'fine print' to say. Still a great manual, just something that I overlooked. Maybe a warning underneath the picture?

"The CONN_CATHODES in this diagram are not in the same order as on the driver, make sure to wire them to the appropriate digits."
