I was hoping someone out there could help identify this mystery LED?

It was used in a old fashioned diesel pump that belonged to my grandfather which I have been hoping to refurbish. I understand it is interchangeable with RCA/Apollo DR-2000/2010 numitron tube which leads me to believe it would also be 4.5v on a B9A base. There are no markings to help identify it. If any one could help identify it would mean an awful lot. I hope I have posted this is the right section, and thank you very much for taking the time out to read

I think that is a fairly recently home-made substitute for a Numitron (or something). Look at the surface mount components - it can't be original equipment on something "old fashioned" since SMT is a (relatively) recent development!
Look into it later when the dust is clearing off the crater.
