I guess this is technically an eBay find even though I already bought it. It is a minitron / numitron based clock. It had two burned out FFD-81 displays when I got it earlier this week. I replaced one with an FFD21 and another compatible tube that I found online.

I don't know much about this device - it looks like it is meant to be part of a larger time distribution system because it has a time in/out connector in the back.

Inside, the latest date code I could find was Feb 22 1996 hand written on the ROM.

I'll post more when I have a chance to dig in a little bit. I may even do a joke review of this thing.

Also, I seriously wonder if this is the exact same unit when it was owned by someone else

Thanks for the pix! (I'm the one who asked on YouTube for a look inside the box). A mighty 6802 and some TTL, oh my...

Look into it later when the dust is clearing off the crater.

Ah. I didn't recognize the name.

Yes, the construction looks a bit dated. The traces look and drawn. But hey, it still work!

Well, this clock just died on me :-/

It was showing __:_9:_9 last night and so I unplugged it. Today, the display is just blank.

Oh well, it was fun for 2 weeks.

I'll take a look at fixing it this weekend. Depending on what is broken, I may not be able to fix it. Will post an update.
